On Board · Entertainment
18 hours is a long time -- or it's exactly the right amount of time. Watch a film, read a book, let the kids play, or just sit with a drink and watch the ocean. There's no rush.
Things to do
You don't need to fill 18 hours with activities. Most people eat dinner, have a drink, sleep in their cabin, and wake up for breakfast before arrival. But if you want entertainment, it's there -- especially on the larger cruise ferries.
Cinema
The Armorique has two cinemas showing recent releases throughout the crossing. Settle into a comfortable seat and let someone else drive for a while. Select E-Flexer vessels may also show films in lounge areas.
Reading Lounge
A quiet space on the Armorique with books, magazines, and comfortable seating. No screens, no noise -- just you, the sea, and whatever you're reading. The kind of calm that's hard to find on land.
Children's Play Areas
The larger cruise ferries have dedicated play areas for younger passengers. Safe, supervised spaces where kids can burn off energy while you enjoy a coffee nearby. Available on the E-Flexer ferries and the Armorique.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available on the E-Flexer cruise ferries (Galicia, Salamanca, Santona). Connection quality varies depending on your position in the Celtic Sea -- don't plan to stream box sets, but it's fine for messages and email.
Duty-Free Shop
Browse wines, spirits, fragrances, chocolates and gifts at duty-free prices. Available on the E-Flexer ferries and the Armorique. A good way to pick up a few things before you arrive.
Open Deck
Step outside and feel the Atlantic air. The open deck areas are available on all ships -- perfect for watching the sunset, spotting dolphins (if you're lucky), or just getting some fresh sea air.
Your crossing
Here's the thing about an overnight crossing: you don't need a plan. Most passengers fall into a natural rhythm that goes something like this:
Board, find your cabin, dump your bag. Head to the bar or restaurant for dinner. The ship slides out of port while you're eating -- barely notice. After dinner, a drink in the lounge, maybe a film if you're on the Armorique. Browse the duty-free shop. Step out on deck for the sunset if the timing's right.
Back to your cabin. The gentle motion of the ship takes care of the rest. You'll sleep better than you expect.
Wake up, shower in your en-suite, head to the cafeteria for breakfast. The French coast appears through the window. By the time you've finished your coffee, they're calling passengers to return to vehicles. You drive off refreshed, rested, and already in France.
That's 18 hours. It goes faster than you'd think.
